If I got married in 2017 do I file my 2016 taxes as married or as single?

You were single in 2016 so you you file your 2016 tax return as single.  Next year you can file as married on your 2017 tax return.

You were single in 2016 so you you file your 2016 tax return as single.  Next year you can file as married on your 2017 tax return.
