If I choose to not do my taxes this year (because I can't pay turbotax) how will I be affected next year?

After completing the turbo tax, I don't owe anything but will get $50 from federal. I don't want to file because I don't have $150 that you guys are telling me that I have to pay for filing. I have a 1099G so I can't do the free one. If I choose to not do my taxes this year (because I can't pay turbotax) how will I be affected next year?

I suggest TurboTax Free File Edition so you can file your taxes . 

You will still need to file your 2018 tax return because you can't just add the information to your next return and there will be fewer free options for a past return.

While the name is similar to Free Edition, it's not the same and there are no upgrade fees.

To you qualify

Make less than $34,000 a year or

Qualify for the Earned Income Credit or

Active military making less than $66,000
