You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

You don't say what entity you're trying to contact. But only the IRS can provide you any information on your tax return once it's submitted. Their phone number is 1-800-829-1040 monday thru friday, 7am-7pm EST. But good luck getting a human on the phone. I can tell you that if you select the options for "refunds" (option 1 I think) then you will *NEVER* get even the option for a human. I do know the IRS is still operating with limited manning. So you can expect to be on hold for a long, long, long time.
