There is an additional fee to e-file a state return when you use the downloaded software. You can avoid that fee by printing, signing and mailing the state return instead of e-filing it.

You are posting from the online version .... so if you accidentally paid for the download and used the online by mistake to avoid the second payment you can switch now ...

1.    Save your online return as a tax data file.

2.    Sign out of TurboTax Online.

3.    Install your 2017 TurboTax software.  Buy it here:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/

o    Important: If your return includes a state, make sure you also install the corresponding state program(s), otherwise you'll get Error 539.

4.    Once installed, choose File > Open Tax Return in the software program.

5.    Browse to where you saved your .tax2017 file and click Open.

6.    If you get an error, delete your tax data file and repeat these steps from the beginning.

7.    (Optional) Once you've confirmed that your online return opens properly in the software, you can clear your online return.

@MELeroux5757   What is your question?  You have posted on a very old thread.  This is a new forum layout. Some posts that have June 2019 dates are really older posts from the old forum that got moved over. So they might be for prior years and not current info. When they migrated over the dates got changed to June 2019. And the screen shots got deleted.

You can call TurboTax and speak with an agent.  TurboTax customer service/support does not have a single phone number but has many different phone numbers based on the type of platform used.  So that we can direct your call to the best person/department to help you:

1. Click on this link:  https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/
2. Select your TurboTax platform.  
3. Ask your question / state your problem.  Do NOT use the word "refund' or you will get a phone number for tax refunds.
4. Click Submit.
5. On the next screen, choose the Call option and follow the instructions.  You will be given the approximate wait time.  

You'll get a toll-free number to a TurboTax expert who is specially-trained to handle your particular issue.
