If a marital Settlement agreement in Florida is signed in one year and the divorce is finalized in the next year, what is marital status?

Until the divorce papers are finalized you are married in FL ... there is no formal separation here.

If the divorce is not finalized by the last day of the year then your filing status on a tax return would be Married, either Jointly or Separately.
