If the court appointed Personal Rep wants to file 1041& pay taxes before the decedent’s Estate Bank account is opened (because the return is already late,) are there any issues with the Personal Rep. (also sole Beneficiary) paying out of their own funds, with a Money Order or cashier’s check? Can the PR get reimbursed from the Estate if they do? If paying from PR’s own funds is problematic, are there any other ways to get the 1041 filed and paid before the Estate bank account is opened? The IRS has assigned an EIN #, it’s just that the Estate Bank Account isn’t open yet and may take a little while.
