I worked part of the year as an employee and need to file a w2. But I also sold my home, and now am self employed. Which TurboTax program would work best for my transitional income year

If you were self-employed at any time during the year, you'll want to use either TurboTax Self-Employed (online) or TurboTax Home & Business (Desktop/Download/CD). Although, if you had no expenses for your Self-Employment business, TurboTax Deluxe will had all of your issues mentioned.

With TurboTax Online, if a tax situation arises that's not handled by your present version, TurboTax will advise you to upgrade.
