If you were an independent contractor, you were self-employed.  You will report your income as an independent contractor on Schedule C.  You can also deduct any expenses related to that income on Schedule C.   The company you worked for should have issued you a Form 1099-NEC, which you need to report.  For information on how to report your self-employment income, see the following TurboTax Help Article:  How do I report income from self-employment?
