I work for myself and get paid on a 1099. Do I enter this as self employed income or as 1099 income? right now it is showing the same amount twice?

You should enter the 1099-Misc income under "Self-employment income and expenses" and click "Add income for this work" (see screenshot below).  You'll need to remove any entry you made under Income from Form 1099-MISC so as not to duplicate the income.
