Yes you can and must file your own tax return if your income is high enough to require it. If you meet the tests to be claimed as a dependent by your parents, you must indicate on your tax return that you can be claimed by them.
How old are you? Were you a full time student in 2016? How much income did you have?

For tax/dependent purposes, what matters is not your age today, but your age on Dec 31, 2016.

Since your 2016 income was more than $4,050 and you were not a full time student, your parents cannot claim you.
