I wish to buy a desktop version but do not know which one. I need to file forms 1040, 2555, 8891,1099-int and 1116. What is the cheapest version that will include these?

All desktop versions of TurboTax include the same forms. The difference is in the interview. The more expensive versions have more help and detailed guidance. Any desktop version of TurboTax includes all the forms that you listed except Form 8891. No version of TurboTax includes Form 8891.

The cheapest desktop version is Basic, but with Basic you have to buy the state program separately. If you have to file a state tax return it would be less expensive to buy Deluxe, which includes one state.
