We decided we are not ready to file yet and may file by mail

When you use online TurboTax the fee is the same whether you e-file or file by mail, so mailing your return prepared using TurboTax will not save you any money.   But if you have decided you do not want to use TT, you can just abandon the return and the account if you have not paid or e-filed.   No one else has access and nothing will happen with it.

But did you already submit it?   Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?  If you did then you can’t cancel it unless the IRS rejects your submission.
