I will have a tax credit in 2024 so I would like to reduce my 2024 federal withholding taxes. What is the best way to figure out this amount?

I currently get a tax refund every year but want to be able to use the tax credit in 2024 so I want less taxes withheld.

Yes, you can accomplish this by completing a W-4 Form and giving it to your employer.

Line 4(c) on the W-4 will instruct your employer to withhold an additional dollar amount from your paycheck for each pay period.

This amount is not recorded separately on your pay stub, and nor on your W-2.  It is simply included in the total income tax withholding.
