I will be out of the US from January 26, 2026 to April 21, 2026. Will I be able to file for the extension with Tutbo Tax Premier before I leave on Jan 26?

I use TurboTax Premier and plan to file when I return at the end of April.

Using the TurboTax desktop editions you can complete the extension request, Form 4868, then print and mail the extension request to the IRS.

Click on Federal Taxes

Click on Other Tax Situations

Under Other Tax Forms

On File an extension, click on the start button
