I was told to mail my state refund in last year for 2015. Does turbotax inform the state of how much I owe? I never mailed it in so I want to know how it will affect 201

I was told to mail my state refund in for last year for 2015.  Does turbo tax inform the state of how much I owe? I never mailed it in so I want to know how it will affect 2016 return as I am receiving a state refund this year. I only owed $50, I am aware of penalties and fees and am inquiring if the 2016 refund will be delayed because 2015 wasn't sent in or if turbo tax informs them (even though I was told to mail) and will state deduct it from this years refund.?  Yikes, I hope I made sense! Thanks 🙂

Your refund shouldn't be delayed if you haven't filed your state return yet. TurboTax doesn't share any of the information that you enter in the program with any agency or person. Only you know what you entered, and if you didn't file your return yet, the state doesn't know yet. At some point the state may contact you if they have information about your 2015income and there is no record of you filing a tax return.
