I was told that Turbo Tax Desktop 2025 could be run on Window 10 22H2. After purchasing it I am now told I must have Window 11 only? What can I do???

Intuit (the makers of TurboTax software) announce on or about 10/20/2025 that TurboTax 2025 in any form (online or download) must be used with Windows 11. It is regrettable, but whomever told you was incorrect.

The download to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 is fairly straightforward.

Do a search in Google for "Upgrading from Windows 10 to 11" and you will get plenty of advice on the best way to do it.

You can switch to TurboTax Online if you do not have Windows 11. See: How do I switch from TurboTax Desktop to TurboTax Online?
