I was told that there is a credit for steel workers of $1.85 for every hour worked. I'm not sure if it is a state or federal credit and how to enter it in Turbotax?

There is certainly no such credit on a federal return.   If there is a state credit then please tell us what state---there are 37 states with a state income tax and we cannot see which state you might be asking about.

@SweetieJean I suspect it is something floating around on social media---probably a misconstrued  or proposed credit for union workers that did not pass.   But guess we need to know what state....

The BBBA was never passed ...not sure if any version ever will.

Ask you union for current specifics.

I wondered if that was somewhere in Build Back Better----if so, it is not going on a 2021 tax return unless Congress decides to throw another huge monkey wrench at the taxpayers of the U.S. and the IRS and changes tax law in mid tax season again.
