I was sopose to get and federal and my state taxes for $0 and no filing fee $0. I am not paying for returns, I did not ask for anything extra.

I was sopose to get and federal and my state taxes for $0 and no filing fee $0. I am not paying for returns, I did not ask for anything extra.

It appears from your post that you have upgraded to the Deluxe edition.  The Free Edition is suitable for only the simplest return with the standard deduction.  If you were asked to upgrade, it's likely because your individual tax situation requires a more complex return.  To see why you may be asked to pay for what began as "Free", see the info below.

Additionally, if you are required to use the Deluxe edition, your state program (if this applies) will also have a charge associated with it.  The "Absolute Zero" promotion (info below) applies only to 1040A and 1040EZ, and will allow you a state program without charge.
