I am stationed in Hampton, VA with a state residency of Florida. I was sent to Mississippi in Oct 16 and will be here until Apr 17. Do I need to file this on my current return? If so, how do I go about doing so?

If your Home of Record is FL and you earned only military income in the other states, you can say you lived in other states, but shoud say you did not earn any income in any other states. You still, of course, need to enter your W-2 from your military income in order to complete your Federal return. FL does not have a state income tax return, so you do not need to file there.
