Hello. I was looking to use Turbo Tax for my 2016 taxes, but also need assistance filing an amended 2015 return to add a 1099-B. Is this offered and if so would it be included in the fee or would it be an additional charge? Thanks

Yes, you can use TurboTax to prepare your amendment, even if you did not file using the software.

You can find TurboTax software from previous years (you will need the 2015 software to amend your return) at https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/.    

Instructions on how to prepare the amended return can be found below.  After you click on the year you want to amend, you should select the option to amend using CD/downloaded software.

Please note that these instructions assume that you prepared your return using TurboTax.  Since you did not, you will want to enter the information from your return as originally filed, then proceed starting in Step 3.

The TurboTax Online program for 2016 is for filing 2016 only.  Each year, the program is updated for the current year's tax laws, forms, and schedules.

However, TurboTax does support filing an amendment for prior years' taxes.  We cover filing amendments for the last three years.  Please see the information below to file an amended return for 2015:  How To Amend a Return You Already Filed

The links only give instructions for amendment options when you used the Turbo Tax online or offline software. Is there any support if you didn't use turbo tax the previous year?
