I was going to send in a portion of what I owe in taxes now and pay the balance on Aril 15. because it's so close to the 15th, should I wait and pay everything at that time?

It is totally up to you. As long as your balance is paid in full on or before 4/15 it does not matter if you pay it in chunks or in one lump sum.

Thank you, that was my first thought. I usually send in an amount earlier but didn't this time around. They will get their, or I should say my, money anyway.
