I was born in the US but never lived there. I have recently discovered that I should still file taxes in the US. I am looking for help to sort out my situation. Any tips?

US requires all citizens to file. So start filing.

One solution adopted by many is to renounce your US citizenship.

Start with the open tax years first ( 2016 -2018) then deal with the older ones later ... I would probably seek professional assistance in this matter.

turbotax and other software packages can handle foreign income.
Enter your income and tax paid to another country.
US gives you a credit for that, up to about $100,000.

unless your situation is much more complex you can file yourself.
