I was a student and my wife did not work this past year, can I skip thru the employment section? What needs to be entered there?

Don't skip anything, or you'll have issues during the final review just before you file. You have to work it through. For example, in the W-2 section there's a box you check called "I don't have an W-2's". If not checked, you'll not pass the final review and will be unable to e-file.
