I was a dependant last year. I'm trying to file taxes on my own for the first time this year, but it says the AGI doesn't match the one from last year. Can I get help?

If you did not file a 2016 tax return then enter a 0 (zero) for your 2016 AGI

I had a friend help me step-by-step while I was doing this, and I did put it as a 0 but I was still rejected.

To e-file your 2017 taxes, the IRS requires your 2016 AGI for identity verification (unless you didn't file 2016 taxes; in that case enter 0 as your AGI).
