In TurboTax Online, you can erase your return and start from scratch as long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered.
- If you haven't already done so, sign in at TurboTax.com and make sure you've gone past the blue "Simple and accurate" screen.
- In the left-side menu, select Tax Tools, and then select Clear & Start Over (click or tap the 3 lines in the upper-left corner if you don't see this menu). (see attached tax tools)
- Answer Yes in the pop-up to confirm.

Then too late. You cannot get your return back once you e-file it. If you both claimed the same child, one of your returns is going to be rejected since the same SSN cannot be on two different tax returns. Wait and see whose return is rejected, then post back for further help.

No. If you return gets rejected, then make whatever corrections are necessary and re-send it.
