I want to pay Federal and State taxes separately but by credit card, one in February and the other in March. I don’t see a Turbo Tax option that allows this, is there?

You can file your return without selecting a method on how you will be paying the balance due on your federal and state returns.

After filing your return you can go to Paying Your Taxes  later in February to pay IRS with a credit card, In March you can go to the Department of revenue for your state and pay them with your credit card. To find your state's website go to State Government Websites .

Thanks, I can do that but an improvement to TurboTax would be to include a filing date option.

And, apparently paying by that method incurs an additional fee of nearly 2%. Does TurboTax also add the additional fee if I pay by credit card without trying to pick a delivery date?
