I want to change my EIN on W2

Why?   Did you enter the EIN incorrectly?   Did you already e-file?   If you did not e-file you can go back to the W-2 screen and edit the EIN you entered.   If you e-filed and the return is rejected, you can fix it and re-file.   If the return is accepted, leave it alone unless you get a message or letter from the IRS about it.

You can change the EIN number on your W-2, if you have not yet filed using the steps listed below.

1. Click on "Search" in the top right of your TurboTax screen.
2. Type "W-2" in the search bar.
3. Click on the link "Jump to W-2"
4. Your screen will say "W-2 Summary" 
5. Click on "Edit" or "Review" next to the W-2 you want to change your EIN on.
6. Change your EIN in the first box, Box b Employer Identification Number
