I’ve lived in NC since October of 2021 and moved back to Maine from October of 2022 until January 2023 and have been here since. It has me filing as a maine resident.

It wants me to file for both states but as a resident of Maine and a non resident of North Carolina but I only have income in North Carolina how do I go about changing that?

You can delete your Maine return and switch the residency of North Carolina to resident. One of the first questions on the state return asks if you need to change your residency. Click yes here and change your North Carolina return to resident.
