I've been in the USA on F1 visa from Aug 2012 to Sept 2015. I got my H1B status in Oct 2015. I traveled to India from Nov 2015 to Dec 2015. I've been in the USA since then. Am I considered a resident alien? Should i use turbotax?

Yes - Based on your information as a H1B visa holder, you will be considered a full year resident for the 2017 calendar tax year.

Since you are considered a US resident, you can you TurboTax to prepare your 2017 taxes.
