Okay---you did not complete the forms correctly for having marketplace insurance. Did you enter a 1095A for the health insurance from healthcare.gov? You do have to fix that.
You will be able to access the return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it. But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.
Start a 2022 return and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and allows you to access your 2021 return.
Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2021returns is now permanently closed.
Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2021 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.
If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.
They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday-Friday.

If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late. If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe. Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
The only way to file a 2021 return now is by mail. E-filing is permanently closed for 2021 returns. You have to print them, sign and date them in ink, and mail them in.
You do not say why the returns were rejected. If it was for the very common reason of AGI, that no longer matters at all since you only needed AGI to e-file, and e-filing is not possible. Do you know why the returns were rejected? What are you planning to fix on them?
They had an error code. "8962-070 - The e-File database indicates that Form 8962 or a binary attachment with description containing "ACA Explanation" must be present in the return." I am honestly not sure what has to be fixed b/c I know I have health insurance. These rejections happened last June...I slacked on submitting them.

Okay I will have to go on there and check because I only got a form from my job and I did not realize I had to go on the healthcare.gov website. Whoops.
Thank gosh I do not owe money so I wont' be getting penalized.
Thank you so much for your clear explanations!!
What do you mean "a form from my job?" You only get a 1095A if you had marketplace insurance----also called "Obamacare". If you had insurance through your employer then you probably got a 1095B or 1095C ----which does not get entered at all. And maybe you answered incorrectly when you were asked if you had a 1095A. What kind of health insurance did you have?
I was one of those you listed. I'll have to check the form b/c I left it in my work bag. Maybe I did answer something incorrect and that's why my state and federal return kept getting rejected.
