I used the Turbo Tax CD last year. My old computer crashed. I want to download my 2021 return as a ".tax file". The instructions for this do not help. Please advise.

If you used the CD/download for 2021,then the tax file is only stored on your own hard drve; it is not stored online. Did you back it up on a flash drive or any other device? If you did not, then the file is lost or still on your old computer.

If you didn't back, it up, the best you can do is to remove the hard drive from the old computer, install it as a secondary drive on the new computer and copy the file from there, to the documents\turbotax folder of the new computer.
