I took the HCTC (health care tax credit). My employer pays the majority of the premium... should I NOT have taken then credit?

If your employer pays 50% or more of the health insurance premiums you are not eligible for the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC). I assume that "the majority of the premium" means more than 50%, so you should not have taken the credit.
