I took a standard deduction...but it still reflects numbers under the earned income credt. Will my refund still be held?

Everyone takes the standard deduction unless they itemize deductions. There is no relationship between the deduction and earned income credit. They are two totally separate things. If you qualify for EIC, your refund will not be processed until Feb. 15 and the IRS says not to expect your refund until the week of Feb. 27.
