I submitted a typo prepayment. The IRS cancelled the payment and I paid the correct amount but turbotax still shows my rejected payment. How do I update what I paid?

I'm trying to finish filling, but turbo tax still has my typo payment I originally sent to the IRS.  I had to call the IRS to cancel that payment and resubmit the correct payment on there website... so I'm not sure how to fix this on turbo tax?

What was it you paid?  An extension payment or an estimated payment?  Why do you need to take it off your return?  You still paid the amount.

It was an estimated payment, I think I accidently added our combined income instead of our estimated payment.  So I submitted 140,000 instead of the 17,000 I wanted to pay.  Oops.

Well to change the amount or delete it,

Federal on left or at top (Personal for Home & Business)

Deductions and Credits at top

Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

Estimated Taxes - click the start button

It still doesn't show my payment, unless I add the payment as a negative and my correct payment as a positive.  Do you think that would be okay?

If it doesn't show the payment at all then just add the correct amount.  Then make sure the 1040 lines 25 are right before you file.
