I started filing individually. If I download one for my family, do I lose my information I have added already?

I have started filing individually, but my family member wants to use Turbotax as well so we want to download it for desktop.  If I did that, do I lose all of my work that I started individually and start all over again or can I use my ID and password to get all of the information?

Yes, you will lose your information if you are using the ONLINE version of TurboTax. If you would like to complete taxes for your family, you will need to start another account. If you are using the DESKTOP version of TurboTax, you can file up to 5 returns without losing your information.
