I started a new job and left my old one. And now my return this year is estimated to be $1400 less than last year. Why is this?

I filled out a W-4 with my new employer and my wage only went up a dollar an hour and im still in the same tax bracket.

The W-4 calculation was changed recently to reduce your refund and increase your take-home pay.

you filed a new W-4 with your second employer.

That probably explains it.
