I somehow unwittingly set up estimated tax payments for next year (2017).

I do not want to pay for next year right now, so how do I go about changing this?

The estimated forms that print out can be shredded...you didn't set anything up when those print out....The IRS and state do not know they were printed.

How you arrange to pay your taxes for the coming year is still up to you...if you think the forms are inaccurate...dump-em.
