I sold a second home in 2018. What level of turbotax do I need to do my 2018 taxes

Even the deluxe version can handle the sale of a 2nd home. But if that 2nd home was use as a rental or if a home office was claimed at any time in that 2nd home during your ownership, I'm not sure if you'd need to upgrade to Premier or not with the online version of the program.
With the Desktop version Deluxe can handle all that, no problem.

If you are using the TurboTax online editions then you will need either the Premier or Self-Employed editions to report the sale of the second home.

If you are using the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions then any of the editions can be used.

To enter an investment sale other than from a brokerage account (1099-B), follow the steps below.

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Under Investment Income
• On Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other, click the start or update button

Or enter investment sales in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen.  Click on Jump to investment sales

On the next screen, click Yes

On the next screen, click No

On the next screen, choose Second Home and continue with the section until it completes.
