I should be head of household but it's saying I don't pay for half expenses, which is false. Why? I don't see a place for this information beyond Single/Dependent.

I've selected Single and added 1 dependent. It's saying I have to file Single. All prior years have been Head of Household. I don't see what else I have to do to get Head of Household. Help!

In MY INFO when you entered the dependent's information, it asked you if the child paid for over half their support. You need to say NO to that question. It is an oddly worded question that confuses folks.
