I requested an extension for 2017 but missed the extension filling date. I owed 1,200 for 2017. Can I still file my 2018 taxes right now?

Yes you can file your 2018 taxes now.  Be aware that if you file your 2017 tax return that the IRS may hold your 2018 refund if any to apply against your 2017 taxes if its filed.
