If you received a dividend reinvestment within 12 months of the sale date, then you need to break the sale into 2 parts-long-term and short-term. The short term sale would be for the shares purchased with the reinvestment during the last 12 months prior to the sale. The long-term sale would be for the total shares bought with the total of all reinvested dividends more than 12 months before. You only need these 2 transactions, not one for each reinvestment.
