Is this a personal loan that you must pay back with interest?  Or is this a gift that does not ever have to be repaid.

You don't put it anywhere on your tax return (forms).

Gifts are not income. not  taxable and not  reportable. Loans are not income. not  taxable and not  reportable.

However, you can record it as nontaxable income for purposes of the Sales Tax deduction.
