I received a stipend from a local university for participation in a survey for $500 but did not receive a w-2. How do I enter this income without a form in Turbo Tax?

The university is not my employer, I am a teacher in a local school district. I did fill out a w-9 in order to participate and get the stipend.

You need to report this income as Other Reportable Income, even if you did not receive a tax form.

In TurboTax, open your return and follow these steps:

Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Wages and Income on top of the screen
Scroll down to All Income, locate the Less Common Income section
Click Show more and click Start next to Miscellaneous Income and click Show More
On the next page, click Start next to Other Reportable Income (see attached screenshot).
