I qualify for a measly $3 tax credit…TurboTax says in order to claim it, I have to pay $29 to upgrade to premium?? No thank you. How do I opt out of this trap?

If you choose not to continue with your tax return, you may use the Clear & Start Over feature to clear the return.

If you are talking about the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit, the only way in TurboTax to opt out of the credit is in the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit section of TurboTax to indicate that you are a full-time student, otherwise the credit is automatically generated if you qualify.
