There is no benefit to preparing a 2020 tax return in order to transfer the information to your 2021 tax return. Just start your 2021 tax return from scratch, without transferring from 2020, and enter all the information in your 2021 tax return. If TurboTax needs information from your 2020 tax return it will ask for it, and you can enter it manually. This will be much less effort, and less likely to lead to errors, than trying to recreate your 2020 tax return.

Much cannot be directly entered on the forms but on worksheets that feed the forms or better still in the step by step mode if you insist on doing so.   As already stated it is not needed ... any required info from 2020 can be entered in the 2021 as required.
