I purchased Deluxe so I should have 5 Fed and 1 free state filings. I am good with my first filing for myself. How do I switch and add another person to file for them?

@chad-o-reed If you purchased the DESKTOP version where you downloaded the TT program to your desktop, you can download it on up to 5 machines and can complete up to 5 returns by e-file. All you need to do is choose start a new return.

If you were doing your taxes through TT online, it is only 1 per account, each person needs a different account and you would have to pay for each individual.

Did you buy and install the Desktop download program and activate it with the 16 digit License Code? Or use the Online Deluxe version?

For the Desktop program go up to File-New Tax Return. Oh and the free state filing is not to efile state. In the Desktop program you get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is $25 to efile. Or you can print and mail state for free. Did you pay the $25 to efile your state return?
