I pay quarterly state income taxes. I also pay state sales tax on the items I sell. Can I use the state taxes I paid for 2017(paid 2018) as a deduction?

No, you do not pay state sales tax on items you sell, you collect the tax and forward the tax to the state. The customers that purchase your items pay the tax.

No, you do not pay state sales tax on items you sell, you collect the tax and forward the tax to the state. The customers that purchase your items pay the tax.
