There is not much you can do since the IRS is woefully backed up with respect to processing paper filed returns.

Thanks. My e-file attempts were continually rejected because adjusted gross income was “incorrect,” even though I got it from last years return to the penny. How can the irs be so incompetent?
Sorry the IRS has limited staff due to Covid-19. They just started opening the mail in June that's been stacking up. Back in March the IRS closed their processing centers and stopped processing mailed tax returns. An IRS spokesperson recently said that they have about 11 million pieces of unopened mail. The IRS says.."We’re experiencing delays in processing paper tax returns due to limited staffing. If you already filed a paper return, we will process it in the order we received it." So you have to keep waiting.

If you already mailed it, it's too late to efile again. So don't. BUT did you try entering 0 for the AGI? Was your 2018 return successfully filed? Here's a couple reasons why it might have rejected.
When did you file 2018? If it was late in the year your AGI wasn't in the IRS database to verify against. So you needed to use zero. And see, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-ge...
If your spouse died during 2019 there is a problem efiling and you will have to mail your return
