I paid $70 for disc. would not load so used TT emails to start my return. Where can I enter my special code so I"m not paying for TT twice?

The software I bought was also to honor a $10 credit towards state filing??  So I did not use the software and doubt I can return it??  Any suggestions so I dont pay twice?

Did you try the download method instead of installing from the CD?  Download it instead.  Downloading better for many reasons.

There should be a card in the CD case or on the CD envelope that says how to download it and you will need the 14 or 16 digit code from it to enter.

But if you can't install the Desktop program and use the Online web version,
Sorry you can't apply the Desktop CD/Download program purchase to the Online version.  They are separate prices and work different.  You have to pay for online and try to get a refund for the Desktop program.

If you can get the Desktop program installed you can move your online return to the program for free.  Post back for instructions.

I paid $68 fee for TT license. How do I apply $10 credit with this purchase against state tax filing fee of $25.

When I filed my state the $10 was automatically applied so I only paid 15.  I didn't have to do anything.  It knew.  Make sure you are in your Desktop program and not the Online web version.  Some people get confused and end up in the wrong one.
