Only the amount of medical expense that is more than 10% of your adjusted gross income(if you are under 65) or 7.5%(if you are 65 or over) is deductible. So, if you are under 65, multiply your adjusted gross income by 0.1. Only the amount of medical expense that is more than that amount is deductible.
